Pre-Connectorised  FTTH  Open Trench  Indoor  

Emtelle QWKconnect is a pre-connectorised fibre drop cable for FTTH that offers product and installation cost savings, and a reduction in installation equipment. The fibre is pre-installed and pre-connectorised into a microduct during manufacture, meaning that no blowing or fibre splicing is required, thus offering a simple product requiring a reduced skill set and training for the install.

Installation Steps

  1. 1.

    Install QWKconnect between Cabinet / Closure and the customer allowing for upto 2 metres overlength

  1. 2.

    Rotationally cut Microduct at base of cabinet / closure

  1. 3.

    Pull out the remaining 2 metres of fibre

  1. 4.

    Insert the ELF (Emtelle Locking Fibre system) to hold the QWKconnect fibre in place

  1. 5.

    Assemble the connectors 3 body parts around the Ferrule

  1. 6.

    Plug the assembled fibre connector into the fibre adapter after cleaning

  1. 7.

    Rotationally cut Microduct to correct length to fit overlength box

  1. 8.

    Assemble the connector 3 body parts around the Ferrule at the customers end

  1. 9.

    Coil excess fibre bundle in closure, clean connector, then plug into the fibre adapter
