Emtelle's RTRYVA is a pull back fibre optic cable giving a very flexible FTTX solution where duct access and branching from the RTRYVA is quick and easy, and uses the minimal amount of tools, training and installation equipment. Fibres are accessed, excess fibre is pulled back out of the duct, then branched to the home/business through a dedicated drop duct. Fibre installation to inside the home/business is carried out by pushing or pulling.

Installation Steps

  1. 1.

    The blade on the stripping tool is pre-set at a specific angle, no adjustment is needed.
  1. 2.

    Line up the blade on the first mark made using the line on the side of the tool.
  1. 3.

    Pull the tool towards your body, when the back of the tool reaches the second mark start to lift the back of the tool.
  1. 4.

    When lifting the tool, do not pull straight up, lift the handle forward as the tool is pulled back this will give a tidy window cut.
  1. 5.

    Completed window cut.
  1. 6.

    Completed window cut (close up).
  1. 7.

    If the tool slips out during the window cut the stripping procedure will have to be repeated from the second line. Do not attempt to cut in the same direction as this could cut the GRP rods and fibre unit.
  1. 8.

    Place the stripping tool on the second line as per previous instructions for the window cut.
  1. 9.

    Window cut procedure completed as per previous instructions.
  1. 10.
